Not only did a female jockey ride each of the seven winners on Sunday, November 10, but the first two place-getters were ridden by women in all but one race.
In fact, the $22,000 Love Local Class 2 Handicap (950m) saw women take out the top seven places in the eight-horse race.
But as much as it was about the girls, the day belonged to Singleton-based jockey Mikayla Weir who rode four winners from five races by guiding Sue Grills' Olivia's Girl home to victory in race five.
Weir started off the day well with two wins from the first two races, on the Todd Howlett-trained Bullet Lad in the Armidale Jockey Club Maiden Handicap (1400m) and atop House Wins, trained by Jane Clement, in the Barry Bird Memorial Benchmark 58 Handicap (2175m).
She again partnered with Clement to win the fourth race with Desert Marshal.
Weir said she enjoyed her rare run of fortune.
"It's actually the first time I've ridden four winners in a day," Weir said.
"We thought the 950 metres might have been a bit short for her [Olivia's Girl], but she did it really well.
"She's a beautiful mare and that was a really enjoyable ride."
Meanwhile the other wins of the day were shared between Jodi Worley, who rode Paddy Cunningham's Too Hard to Call home to victory in race three, Rachael Murray and Brooke Stower who both had success for Moree trainer Peter Sinclair in the final two races.
Murray rode Moree Dreaming to victory in the Brooker Trading Moree Twilight Races Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m), beating the Gavin Groth-trained Danspur and another of Sinclair's hopefuls, Danigree, ridden by Emily Atkinson, in third. Sinclair's I Am Dynamic, ridden by Stower, came in fifth.
Stower had better luck on Samphire Hoe in the final race, the Picone Bookmaking Class 1 Handicap (1300m). She also rode two seconds for Sinclair, with Queen's song in race three and Beacon in race five.
Sinclair and Stower enjoyed career-best outings at Moree earlier this month, with Stower riding four of Sinclair's five winners on November 1.
